FlickSync wants to upload/replace unchanged files

First I want to say this product is a godsend.  I store photos very meticulously on my computer and love the ability to have my flickr account be exactly the same with less work.

Only problem I'm having is I have a 6,000+ image account. I understand the original sync will take a long time, no big deal.  But after my initial sync, flickrsync keeps wanting to replace or add new pictures that has already synced up to flickr.  I can literally do a sync all, then do ones the second it is done and it will have a few hundreds files to change/add with the same settings.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Thanks!

I've got the same or a similar issue with lots of images when using sync by "match by date taken".
I'm pretty sure EXIF date/time is the same - the only differences might be I'm using german OS which shows dates like 02.11.2008 and Flickr shows 11/02/2008 for a certain image.

Would be great if this issue can be solved. Great program so far and i would love to use it in future and also think its worse to donate for it, if this would work.

There are actually two issues here.  The first one is an issue with sets that have more than 500 images in them.  Currently it only retrieves information on the firts 500 images so it thinks all images after that are "new".  I created a bug for this, created a patch and hopefully this will be fixed in the next version.

A secondary issue is that the flicknet API that flickrsync is built on does not seem to retrieve the "replaced" time from flickr.  To get around this a "Last Synced" time is stored locally for each set not per images so if a sync fails in the middle it not upload new files again but it will replace files that it has already replaced.

The problems related to big images, large number of images, long uploads, etc... should now be corrected on version 0.8.5
