Bi-directional Sync of Tags

Description

It would be nice to provide a feature that syncs tags between Flickr and my local pictures. I would like to get GeoTags that I add and the text tags added by friends and family replicated on my local copies of photos that have been uploaded. I'm pretty sure I tested it out and FlickrSync did not detect nay differences between the local and Flickr copies so it said there was nothing to Sync. I'm gathering it simply verifies whether a file exists, then uploads if needed. I gather that no comparison of tags or properties is done. Thanks for a great tool!

That's actually not true.
FlickrSync detects any file modifications based on the file date. So, if you add any tag, it should synchronize that to Flickr automatically. However, some tools do modify files without changing the file timestamp and therefore FlickrSync does not detect them. For instance, when using Picasa and Google Earth to GeoTag files, they don't modify the file date/time. What I usually do is: open them with another metadata application and save metadata again. This way, the file date gets updated and FlickrSync synchronizes the changes.

Regarding 2-way sync, please see the reply on the Discussions page:
